RMAC library
The Roswell Museum and Art Center’s 8,000 volume library includes books, catalogues, periodicals, and audio-visual materials related to world art history, anthropology, art and history of the Southwest, applied art, photography, museum studies, and rocket history-technology. Unique primary source materials related to the Federal Arts Project in New Mexico, and the archives of artist Howard Cook and physicist Robert Hutchings Goddard are an important resource for scholars. The library also houses vertical files on artists in the Museum’s collection and artists of the Southwest, and video and audio tapes related to museum studies, the art and culture of the West/Southwest, and world art history.

The Library subscribes to the following monthly or quarterly periodicals: American Craft, American Indian Art, Aperture, Art in America, Art Index, Art Journal, Art on Paper, ARTFORUM, ARTNews, Ceramics Monthly, El Palacio, Journal of the Southwest, Museum News, Native Peoples, New Mexico Magazine, New Mexico Historical Review, Raw Vision, Southwest Art, Studio Potter and Tradicion Revista.
