"If I have been extinguished, yet there rise A thousand beacons from the spark I bore." -Percy Bysshe Shelley, 1822

Radio Sebastian approaches artmaking with the idea that every individual is capable of being, in a lifetime or in any given moment, the epitome of what is good about being human. The artist takes this notion, labels it shine, explores it, studies it, and constructs black ink memorials to people, living and dead. The upcoming exhibit at the Roswell Museum and Art Center will show a number of these memorials and memorials-in-process which have been constructed over the course of the past several years, some with the help of and featuring Roswell residents.

Radio Sebastian is an artist team currently composed of Corwin Levi and Yumiko Blackwell. Between them, they have studied Art, Art History, English, German Literature, Law, and Library Science. Levi has had numerous solo and group shows on the East Coast over the last several years and is currently an artist-in-residence in Roswell, while Blackwell is pursuing their investigations from the District of Columbia.
