This exciting exhibition provides a glimpse into the ever-evolving artistic lives of the partners, spouses and returning Fellows associated with the Roswell Artist-in-Residence Program (RAiR). The forty-year history of the Roswell Artist-in-Residence Program has produced many wonderful examples of contemporary art, and has provided an environment that is conducive for the development of great friendships and a far-reaching “sense of family.” This “sense of family” not only lives in the nucleus of the RAiR Program but also extends into the cultural fabric of Roswell.

Often it is the partners and spouses of RAiR Fellows that work in local businesses, conduct educational workshops in the public schools, teach art classes at the RMAC, and work with local community organizations on projects that impact the quality of life for the citizens of Roswell and southeastern New Mexico. A RAiR Family exhibition provides the opportunity to view contemporary issues expressed through a variety of mediums practiced by a rare family of artists.

A RAiR Family is made possible through a partnership with the Roswell Artist-in-Residence Program and the Anderson Museum of Contemporary Art.
